Newest NAHL Team Joins Top Notch
Following the announcement early this month of joining the NAHL, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights confirmed their presence at the Top Notch Hockey Prospect Showcase scheduled for May 22-25 at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter Valley Ranch in Irving, Texas.
The Knights are based out of Pennsylvania and will play at the Revolution Ice Center. Head Coach and General Manager of the team, Justin Lyle, believes his organization will “now offer our players the best path of development that will ultimately help them reach the highest levels of hockey. With many junior hockey options in the eastern part of the country, North Eastern Pennsylvania now has a valid higher-level program for the elite junior player that will be highly scouted. The Knights management team is eager to build a team that the great hockey community of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will be proud of and support enthusiastically.”
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are the twelfth announced organization following: Alaska Nanooks (NCAA), Sioux City Musketeers (USHL), U.S. National Team Development Program (USA Hockey), Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL), Odessa Jackalopes (NAHL), Bloomington Thunder (USHL), Bentley University (NCAA), Madison Capitols (USHL), Wichita Falls Wildcats (NAHL), Northern Michigan University (NCAA) and Youngstown Phantoms (USHL).
